Isuzu FA Trophy draw news....

The Seasiders have been drawn at HOME to Haringey Borough in the Third Qualifying Round of the Isuzu FA Trophy

Fellow Isthmian North side Haringey have experienced mixed results so far this season, yet to register a league point in their opening 4 fixtures, but flying in cup competitions! The Borough defeated Wroxham away in the Second Qualifying Round, after also beating Redbridge away from home in the previous round. Haringey are also still involved in the Emirates FA Cup having despatched of Brightlingsea (after a replay) and Witham (on penalties) to book a home tie against Lowestoft in the Third Qualifying Round.

The Seasiders, of course, progressed to this stage thanks to a 2-1 home success versus Enfield, following up a 4-2 win over Basildon United in the round before.

Although divisional rivals this season, the sides have only met on one occasion (except for those lovely Monday night trips in the U23 Development league!). The Seasiders tasting FA Cup success at Coles Park 3-0 back in 2005/06. 

The winners of the Third Qualifying Round tie pick up £2450 from the prize fund, on top of the £3750 already banked in the earlier rounds. The losers collect £775 consolation money.

The tie is scheduled to take place on Saturday 5th October at the Martello Ground with a 3pm kick off.

If level after 90 minutes, the winner will be decided on the day with penalties.
